On June 16th, Skolera held a live webinar where a discussion took place about the importance of being an accredited school, some insightful tips on how to prepare schools for accreditation, and some of the professional learning courses that ignite transformational change.
Dr Teresa Atwa, Vice President, Global Education Services, Cognia, addressed the main elements of the Cognia accreditation process, namely, how accreditation can benefit schools and how Cognia supports institutions through the accreditation process. Mrs Rasha Mousa, School Principal at Sun of Glory International School, discussed steps for preparing schools for accreditation. Also, Mr Karim Farid, Head of the IT Department at Sun of Glory International School, shared his school’s experience with passing the accreditation by Cognia in 2021. He also discussed how Skolera helped Glory American School in the accreditation process.
Mr Wael Khattab, Skolera’s CPO, gave insights into the processes of monitoring teacher engagement using Skolera. He pointed out how qualitative academic supervision is needed to identify points of strength and weakness. Mr Wael also explained how the processes of data analysis, reporting, and gathering of proof documents are needed for accreditation purposes. The webinar was hosted by Dr Khadija El-Bedweihy, Skolera’s founder and CEO.
